Forrest S. CarterDr. Carter is currently an Associate Professor of Marketing in the Eli Broad School of Business at Michigan State University; where he teaches courses in marketing research, marketing strategy, and entrepreneurship. He is also a research associate of that college’s Entrepreneurship Institute were he focuses on technology transfer to small and minority businesses.

Dr. Carter has authored numerous marketing articles and publications in the areas of marketing research and macro-marketing and community development. Over the last decade his interests have focused on marketing’s role in economic development, especially as it relates to entrepreneurship. For over thirty years Dr. Carter has worked closely with small businesses in Michigan and across the Midwest focusing on issues related to start-ups, product launches, and growth as they transition from small businesses to mid-size or large businesses.
