Jonathan is the Legal Intern & former Design Engineer at the MSU Innovation Center. His role in the student-startup-incubator, the MSU Hatch, is to provide education to students on the legal aspects of starting a business and entity formation, inform students on possible steps to protect startup intellectual property assets, and help preemptively reduce risk.
He is currently studying International Food Law at the MSU College of Law while concurrently completing a PhD at Wayne State in Industrial Engineering with a focus on manufacturing systems in a globalized economy. Additionally, he completed his undergrad at MSU where he received a Mechanical Engineering degree.
His startup passions are focused in the sustainable health space where he has founded two companies. The first, called VEG-N, is the fast-casual, plant-based eatery with a focus on online ordering and drive thru service, as well as the purpose-built tech & app to optimize operations. His second company is a spinoff of an accidental toothpaste recipe creation. The mouth is the gateway to good health, and having healthy teeth and gums are a must for well-being. Together, these companies help create parts of a platform for a sustainable health lifestyle.
