Sean Fochtman is the Burgess Institute's Director of Alumni Venture Support. Sean serves as a resource to MSU alums who are starting their ventures or looking to expand their existing businesses..
Sean has various start up experiences, from real estate to product development. Sean is one of the founding members and owners of Brick Shield, a temporary Lego glue that was inspired by watching his son play with his plastic brick creations. He also has experience with non-profit organizations, working closely with Camp Casey and the St Baldricks organization.
Prior to joining the Burgess Institute, Sean worked in the College of Engineering, serving as an advisor for students in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation minor for the college.
Sean is a two-time alumnus of Michigan State, earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration.
