Women in Entrepreneurship was formed by a group of ambitious women at Michigan State University to inspire and empower women interested in entrepreneurship. Coming from different backgrounds, we want to share how entrepreneurship is not exclusive to a single major, gender, or race. Instead, it means integrating talents of those with diverse interests in order to take risks and develop a business venture. The team we have created stands behind supporting women and innovation. We are transparent in our discussions and ideas because we want to lead the conversation in how women can gain momentum in the entrepreneurship world. We want to change the way the professional world views women, especially the youth that are the pioneers, inventors, and leaders of our future.
The MBA Entrepreneurship Association is founded on industry-experienced graduate. Our mission is to nurture and empowerstudententrepreneurs by fostering a diverse ecosystem of business development and early-stage investment. Additionally, we extend our skillsets to local community entrepreneurs, providing valuable support in marketing, supply chain management, finance, and human resources.
Broad Student Senate at Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business is the passionate liaison between business students and faculty. A vibrant team of 40 business-minded individuals proudly represent the voice of the Broad student body. The Broad Student Senate actively contributes to the advancement of academic programs and policies at the Eli Broad College of Business and Michigan State University. Their efforts promote seamless collaboration between undergraduate students, faculty, and administrators within the college.
Are you a fan of Hackathons? Then Spartan Hackers is the org for you. Hackathons are 24-48 hour coding competitions and the fastest way to build real projects. Alongside hacking, students can get to know representatives from companies like Google, Meta, Microsoft, and more. Plus, every hackathon is filled to the brim with free food. Another plus, all hackathons attended hand out prizes for winning projects. The highest 1st prize seen: $10,000 CASH.
The Imagine Software Club provides software to organizations and faculty members, as well as and internship-like experiences to students at Michigan State University.
Spartasoft is a professional organization that seeks to make industry contacts and aid students in future job placement. The majority of the org's focus lies in gaining skills and experiences in game development through student projects and tutorial presentations. Spartasoft actively lobbies MSU Faculty for more classes that teach the skills needed for a career in game development, and we welcome the possibility of a future course of study in that area. Members of Spartasoft come from computer science, telecom, art, history, and every major in between.
FLISE is a student-run organization at Michigan State University that educates its members on working in the sports and entertainment industry. FLISE invites today’s professionals to speak to the organization, allowing for an inside take on the daily life, profession, and pursuit in today’s sports and entertainment market. FLISE's time is spent networking with professionals and making connections for the future leading to internships and careers for our members.
