About the Donor

Mark F. Rieth

Mark F. Rieth is a Spartan alumnus, entrepreneur, and proven business leader with experience as both a corporate executive and founder. He is best known for his leadership at Atwater Brewery, where he helped grow the company into one of Michigan’s largest craft breweries during more than two decades at the helm.

Under Mark’s leadership, Atwater produced dozens of award-winning beverages and became known for its strong commitment to Detroit-area nonprofits, educational institutions, and civic organizations, while also contributing to redevelopment efforts in the city’s historic Rivertown district. After successfully selling the company to Molson Coors, Mark remained on as president to support a smooth transition.

More recently, Mark founded FUL Beverage, a non-alcoholic beverage company focused on natural functional and energy drinks. A graduate of the Broad College of Business, Mark also serves as a longtime volunteer mentor with the Burgess Institute, supporting the next generation of Spartan founders.
