When Bob Burgess earned his degree in packaging from Michigan State in 1966, many job offers awaited him – a common scenario for graduates from the prestigious program.

Lauren Aitch graduated from Michigan State University in 2010 with her master's degree in Public Relations following her undergraduate degree in Advertising and Design. Following in her father's footsteps, she played basketball throughout college and, after graduating, had the opportunity to play for a year in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Emily Allen is a woman founded on pure perseverance. She graduated from Michigan State in 2018 with both an undergraduate and master’s degree in marketing. That same year she moved across the country three times before ultimately landing in London to work for Google — amid a pandemic. 

Originally from Carson, California, Curtis Daniel III attended Michigan State University from 1990 to 1995 on a football scholarship. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Communications. After earning his degree, he took a chance to pursue a career in the music industry as one of the founders of PatchWerk Recording Studios, now a multimillion-dollar studio in Atlanta.

Upon earning her degree in Media and Information Technology from MSU in 2013, Shaniqua Davis entered the professional world bright-eyed and energetic, eager to contribute and driven to succeed.

Andrew Dickow graduated from Michigan State with a degree in finance in 2006. During his time as a student, he served as philanthropy chair of Pi Kappa Alpha and was a member of the Finance Association.

Anurag Kumar was consulting at IBM when he realized having a management degree would help him in his career. Before IBM, Anurag started two companies, but he wanted to gain a deeper perspective on business. This desire led him to Michigan State University’s MBA program.

Mike Miller (College of Natural Science, '99) is a PhD Physicist and a leader in cloud computing, helping to bring cloud technologies to Fortune 500 enterprises. In 2008, he co-founded Cloudant, a cloud database used for web, mobile, and serverless applications, IBM acquired in 2014.

Sheela Sethuraman’s journey has been anything but conventional. While her peers took more traditional paths leading to medicine or law, she chose a different direction.

Brittney Urich, a proud third-generation Spartan, graduated from Michigan State in 2015 with a degree in Professional Writing. At first, she had dreams of moving to New York and working for a publishing company. However, this changed as she was exposed to web design and coding during her time as a student.  

Kyle Welch was drawn to Michigan State University because of his love and passion for hospitality. He graduated from the world-renowned School of Hospitality Business in 2009 amidst the epilogue of a financial crisis. Despite his initial fear of the collapsing job market ahead of him, Welch dove into the world of franchising.
