The Burgess Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Michigan State University is proud to announce that BRCĒ has been selected as an alternate for the prestigious 2025 SXSW Pitch Competition, representing the student category. The SXSW Pitch, presented by KPMG, returns for its 17th year to showcase some of the global startup ecosystem's most exciting, innovative, and cutting-edge technology at SXSW 2025.
BRCĒ specializes in developing advanced athletic gear, utilizing proprietary composite materials to enhance performance, safety, and recovery. The team recently earned first place and a $7,500 prize at the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) hosted by EO Detroit. Their cutting-edge solutions, designed to elevate athletic potential and well-being, continue to garner recognition at prestigious competitions.
Being selected as an alternate at SXSW 2025 is a significant achievement, positioning BRCĒ for potential participation on a global stage.
The SXSW Pitch Finals will take place March 8–10, 2025, in Austin, TX, where finalists will compete for recognition and awards, announced during the SXSW Pitch Awards Ceremony on March 9. Alternates like BRCĒ exemplify the remarkable advancements being made in athletic innovation, showcasing the potential of cutting-edge technology to enhance human performance and well-being.
