SHREESHA MADDUR NAMED 2022 ADAM M ENFROY DIGITAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP SCHOLAR

SHREESHA MADDUR NAMED 2022 ADAM M ENFROY DIGITAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP SCHOLAR

By John Hart, Aaryn Richard

The Burgess Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation proudly announces that Shreesha Maddur is 2022’s Adam M. Enfroy Scholar in Digital Entrepreneurship

Maddur (Computer Science ’23), is a senior earning his bachelor’s degree with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He is the founder and CEO of TalleyJobs, a job-board website designed for graduating students to apply to relevant career opportunities in one-click.

TalleyJobs saves time for students during the job application process. Connecting students to opportunities related to their skills and experiences, users engage in an optimized process using a single click to apply to jobs. Maddur is focused on supporting MSU student communities. Hosting an in-person career event with TechSmith called Company Spotlight, TalleyJobs featured an employer from the website to talk to MSU students about roles they are hiring for, tips on how to apply, and answer jobseekers’ questions.

Adam M. Enfroy (Media and Information ’12) established the annual scholarship to recognize and support talented, highly motivated student venturers creating digital-based startups. Each year, the Burgess Institute selects a scholar who demonstrates traction within the digital space and exemplary engagement within the Burgess Institute’s Discovery and Launch programs. Ideal scholars also show aptitude, passion, and commitment to academic success, and the ability to balance building a startup with the inherent demands of academic rigor.

The Adam M. Enfroy Digital Entrepreneurship Scholarship awards $2,500 for the awardee to apply toward student expenses through the Office of Financial Aid.

Maddur reflects on his experiences within the Burgess Institute’s Discovery Program. “Burgess means an ecosystem that fosters creativity and aids in learning what the entrepreneurial mindset is about,” said Maddur. “I want to thank the Burgess Institute for helping me more than I ever expected and giving me the opportunity to call myself an entrepreneur.”

TalleyJobs has been live for 2 months, seeing immediate growth upon launch. Maddur looks towards the future of this venture.

“The money from this scholarship will go into the business and help provide us with more than sufficient funding as we explore new ways to deliver the best job board platform for students,” said Maddur. “We hope to continue our growth and become the primary tool for MSU students looking for a job.”

In 2019, Adam M. Enfroy established the undergraduate scholarship in his name specifically for digital entrepreneurs. Enfroy taught himself digital marketing, traveled across the country taking marketing positions for tech companies, and was promoted five times in five years. After gaining enough experience, he decided to strike out on his own, launching his marketing blog, adamenfroy.com, in 2019. Today, Enfroy’s blog reaches over 500,000 monthly readers, teaching them how to start and scale successful online businesses.
