Deepgram, a leading speech AI platform, has acquired OfOne, an enterprise voice AI company co-founded and led by MSU alumnus Adam Proschek, (B.S Computer Science, ‘13).The acquisition marks a significant milestone for the venture and highlights the growing impact of Spartan leaders shaping innovation beyond campus.
Founded nearly three years ago, OfOne emerged at the forefront of voice AI innovation, applying large language models to restaurants — one of the most operationally complex and community-driven industries in the country. The company’s work helped bridge advanced AI capabilities with real-world operational needs.
Through its acquisition by Deepgram, OfOne will contribute to a new business unit combining the company’s application-level expertise with Deepgram’s world-class research and infrastructure. This partnership is positioned to accelerate innovation across the restaurant industry while helping translate advanced AI research into practical, scalable commercial use.
This acquisition represents a meaningful milestone for OfOne and highlights the growing national impact of ventures led by Spartan alumni. It also reflects the broader momentum of Michigan’s innovation ecosystem and the expanding influence of leaders connected to Michigan State University.
