Who Should Apply
This scholarship is for student founders who are actively building and advancing a venture through the Burgess Institute. Students who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply. Application deadlines and award details are outlined in the application. Applicants must:
- Be a student in good academic standing at Michigan State University.
- Be a current participant in the Venture Creation Program.

Spartan Founders Club
The Founders Club Scholarship is made possible through the generosity of members of the Spartan Founders Club (SFC), a growing community of MSU alumni, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders committed to supporting the next generation of Spartan founders.
Launched in partnership with the Burgess Institute, the Spartan Founders Club pairs modest annual philanthropy with hands-on engagement, mentorship, and advocacy for student entrepreneurs. Members believe that early, founder-focused support can be truly catalytic and this scholarship reflects their shared commitment to helping student ventures take meaningful next steps.
