The Kaufman Family Scholarship for Entrepreneurial Studies supports student venturers at Michigan State University who are building startups or nonprofits rooted in social good. Established by Michigan natives Brandon and Barbara Kaufman, this scholarship reflects a shared belief that entrepreneurship can be a powerful force for positive community impact.
Through this scholarship, the Kaufman family is investing in Spartans who are committed to building ventures that create meaningful social value while developing the skills, experience, and mindset needed to lead with purpose.
Who Should Apply
This scholarship is for students who are actively building mission-driven ventures and using entrepreneurship to address real-world challenges. Students who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply. Application deadlines and award details are outlined in the application. Applicants must:
- Be a student in good academic standing at Michigan State University.
- Be a current participant in the Venture Creation Program.
- Be pursuing a social mission–focused venture, including startups or nonprofits.
- Enrollment in the Minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation (preferred).
